Dell D505 Video Driver Windows 7 Download

Downnload Dell Latitude D505 laptop drivers or install DriverPack Solution software for driver update. Device Name: Intel(R) 5 GM/GME Graphics Controller. Driver Date, 2005-07-19, File Size: 4.84M. Driver Version: 6., Vendor: Intel. Supported OS: Windows 10 32 bit, Windows 8.1 32bit, Windows 7 32bit, Windows Vista 32bit, Windows XP.

Everything works great except the Video. The resolution is nothing short of terrible. The internal video card is apparently an Intel Extreme Graphics 855GM. Graphics were fine with the old XP operating system but now they are horrendous! Is there some other driver (s) that I could use to trick this particular video card into giving me some decent screen resolution? Mortal Kombat 9 Pc Komplete Edition Download. Say maybe a Vista driver or something? Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Thanks, PoppyJ •.

Hi I have installed the Windows 7 Beta (7000) on my Dell Latitude D505. I realise that this machine is fairly old now and there may be some compatibility issues. However, the beta installed OK and runs pretty rapidly. It only picks up that a standard VGA adapter is available and will only go to a screen resolution of 640x480 (256 colours). I was able to run up to 1280x1024 (full colour) with XP. Obvoiusly Dell haven't yet supplied any drivers. I have read that you may be able to use Vista drivers but if I try this it just says 'Incompatible Operationg System'.

I am really interested in pursuing the 7 beta but cannot run at this prehistoric resolution. Cheers stubar. What video chipset is that using, because if its using the Intel 855 or 915 based chipsets, then they use XDDM drivers which arent supported in Windows 7 and there was never a WDDM driver released. However if its not using those chipsets, please post what it is, and im sure everyone will do what they can to help out. As for vista drivers (missed that bit) right click on them select run as administrator, and also select Compatability troubleshooting (vista) that should help you get them installed. I was able to get the d505 intel driver to install on windows 7 without issue by setting compatibility to 2000 when installing one of the older versions- 6.

I will note that a newer version was disabled by the OS because it reported a problem. The specific Dell ID executable this worked with is R78792.exe.C Brief update - while resolution did get buffed initially, after updates/reboot, it reverted back to 640/480. A few drivers later, I managed to get another driver from package 111509.exe to 'work' - device manager has shows it installed but also has the unknown video controller. Disabling UAC during the installation (win 2000 compatibility mode) may also have helped. My girlfriend has that laptop running opensuse 11.3 its 14.1 screen that has a stated resolution of 1024 768 in xga, but what you windoze users don't know is that, the native resolution of the screen is 1400 by 1050 in sxga, anyway, she has it running on 1400 by 1050, but thats linux.

It uses the 855gm/gme chipset, which is really pathetic, but the method would be use the xp sp3 driver, easy to locate, goo to dell support, and run it compatabilty mode, or just bin it, its a really pathetic laptop.
